To me, fall is about setting the reset button for your year - forget new years, post-labor day is the time to start things off on the right foot.  First it was getting ready for school, now it’s about getting ready for life.  Every summer seems to go fast, but every fall flies by that much faster, so being prepared is key.

This fall, I’ll be working towards building some new business at work, but a lot of you brides will be getting ready for your big day.  Part of that is figuring out how to create your dream day within a budget, so today I’ll share some really fun DIYs to help you make your day without breaking the bank.

To start, don’t spend a boatload on your accessories - consider creating your own veil or bow belts for you and your bridal party

Let’s talk ceremony set up today - the possibilities are literally endless.  The most important thing to think about is the original space - any/all design is about emphasizing details and amplifying the foundation, so being complementary is key.  I’ll go through a few great examples of how brides have found a way to make their ceremony spaces that much more special - enjoy!
To start, let’s look at outdoor settings done right.  I love this seaside vista - the view is allowed to speak for itself, amplified by a simple arch of greenery and wooden chairs accented with bows that pop against the background.

Last set of Kate Spade for the day - earrings and bangles (I told you there was a lot to love!)

1. Le Soir Bow Drop Earrings - these are so sweet, and I love the bows!
2. Crystal Chapel Cluster Drop Earrings & Bracelet - this set it really beautiful, the size makes them feel statement and the coloring is perfect to offset your white dress
3. Cooper Wrap Strap Watch - if you didn’t know about Kate Spade’s watch collection, now is the perfect time to discover it! I love this wrap watch in chocolate brown and rose gold - it goes with most things and looks great!

To start with pulls, let’s look at Alice of Temperley, which was all about neutrals + pops of color, in conjunction with sheer fabric and lace textures.  To apply these styles, sheer tops with great skirts and bow belts/sashes are an easy win, as are finding great lace sleeved styles, which you should still see this summer/fall.  Also, neutrals are great for accessorizing, so grab some fantastic colored accessories to pair with your outfit!

The 2013 resort collections are a great place to draw inspiration for outfits to wear to the tons of weddings you’re attending this summer.  Featuring lots of bows, florals and fun colors, the looks give you a lot to work with.

Here are some favorites from Bottega Veneta. I love the muted florals/textures accented by a pop of color.  The bow-embellished shoes are fabulous, and the cap-sleeve cutout LBD is subdued sexy.
